I've just noticed the blue key lines around the members images displayed on the site. I hate the damn things when they are grey or black but BLUE looks appalling. What is the general view of the members? Can we please remove them?
Don't know what's going on here. I've just made the about post and gone back to look at the images that appear along the top when entering the site and there are no key lines??????? Methinks our leader Miller is playing tricks with me, or perhaps I've gone a little more ga ga.

Do you mean on the Random Album Picture images at the bottom of the main forum page? I didn't notice that until you mentioned it.
Ah - I just saw your addendum. 'Twas I, testing to see where to change the code... Actually, the images along the top do not have borders, but the ones at the bottom of the page do...
In any event, I do take your point and removing that outline is trivial so unless anyone is romantically attached to them, I will remove the borders (the colour is actually a function of your browser and whether you have clicked on that image before - it's essentially the same as the underline on text hyperlinks).
Cheers, Bob.

I tend to side with the ga ga theory. :D I recommend you spend time in a warm dark room.

Sometimes I print a fairly rough black border around the image and sometimes I don't. It very much depends on how I feel at the time.
I don't see why anyone would get wound up about it surely it's a personal choice?
I know that some people get a bit sniffy about these things saying they are a way to hide the fact that you don't have a maximum black in the print but if you are confident in your printing this shouldn't be a concern.
Get a chill pill is what I say...
Shall we start a debate on film vs digital?....it's just as meaningless.:mob:

I think Les was attracted by the fact that they were blue; something that could start a new fashion perhaps. I shall show Les some of my very attractive pen lined when we meet next week in the Lake District; it should do wonders for his blood pressure. :D

As one who has been on the receiving end of a McLean Black Border Rant, I strongly advise that you don't! :D

Fintan, it's quite possible that after spending the weekend with the lad I may buy him a ticket (1 way) to Ireland. ;)

Les, ga ga? I have no problem if this means in the future not remembering the day of the week( I am there already sometimes). As long as you remember all your photographic expertise we'll be alright.:D:

There are certain things that shouldn't be mentioned. If you come across any marbles as you get the spare room ready; then post them back to him. :)

I learnt at an early age that the answer lay at the bottom of a glass of guiness; it's probably still there if you look.

It says give me another one - at least the glass needs to be empty for one to see the bottom, not like that other stuff they try and call beer. The Australians have a lot to answer for when it comes to drink!

I knew a guy who used to take his false eye out and drop it into your pint glass whilst you weren't looking.

Thanks Folker, it seems as though we are the only two sane members of this unbalanced forum. :D
