I subscribe to Lenswork and also Brooks Jenson pod casts, which I enjoy. His latest seems particularly apposite, so I thought I would share it with you. Assuming his 10,000 prints is an accurate number then that's only about 20 cents per print for the hardware cost which, given the cost of inkjet ink seems very reasonable.

Taking the wider considerations, I could fix a 1980's house telephone but would not bother trying with my DECT wireless ones now (unless it was just a dodgy wire)... No one knows how 99% of the technology they rely on for their continued existence works nowadays and even when you do, it requires such specialized equipment and parts that you still can't fix it anyway.
