It will be great to see some fellow FADUist on the 28th. Please do make yourselves known so that we can put names to faces.
I intend to bring along three view cameras, 6x9cm, 4x5 and 8x10 to discus pros and cons. I would like to make it my mission in life to try and convert folk to view camera use :)
If you are coming then please don't forget to bring work along for discussion for the second half of the workshop.
Great idea to make a day/weekend of it to get in some photography, particularly if you are travelling any distance.

Trevor was in today to record an audio interview to tie in with this - we're planning to have it downloadable from the Silverprint site, maybe as early as tomorrow (4/11).
It was interesting to see how a reasonably long interview (17 minutes) compressed down to a relatively small MP3 file size, presumably because speech has much less information content than music.
Hopefully there will be enough interest to embark on a regular series, maybe mixing photographers & printers with some industry figures.

I didn't mean Trevor's words have less useful content than Barry Manilow's finest, I think the correct buzzword is bandwidth.

My technical problem is that my sound card has just blown.
Is this some sort of conspiracy on your part Martin. :)

Ok. I'm listening on my laptop. Sound quality is good and clear, and Shane has done an excellent job as interviewer, prompting without hogging the airwaves. Well done all.

Thanks Trevor, I for one enjoyed the event immensely, doubly so since it provided the opportunity to meet you at last, and also to renew my acquaintance with Brianbird, Jon Butler, Numnutz, Hughes, and of course Barry. Thanks are also due to your co-presenter Harminder for teaching me never again to use the word “nice” to describe a print, thereby exhausting my praise vocabulary; and of course to Shane and Silverprint staff for making their premises available for the event.

Many thanks Dave, Barry, Brianbird, Jon Butler, Numnutz and Hughes for your kind support at Silverprint today. I enjoyed the occasion very much indeed although I can't believe how nervous I was to start with. Which is not like me, must be meeting you FADUist for the first time :D
Again thank you for being there with your support :)

Many thanks to Trevor, you really do love what do.
Harminders eloquent talk on evaluating your own and other peoples photographs I found very interesting and not million mile away from way of my thinking.
Thanks SILVERPRINT.

It was great to meet you at last Trevor, & to meet Dave & Barry again, also Harmindor,
who I met at the book launch in Nottingham last Year. The talk by both of you was very interesting & thought provoking made me see my own images in a new light! Also thanks to all at silverprint.
Envied you the train back Dave & Barry, filthy dive back, also only managed 3 shots because of lousy weather, also got nice & wet for my trouble!

Thank you all for your kind replies.
I've also passed on your comments to Harminder who was delighted to have meet you. He also asked me to mention if anyone would like a copy of our book, Times Present he would be happy to offer it to FADU members at the discounted price of £20 + £4 p&p. He will also like to offer to anyone who purchases a copy a high quality inkjet print of one of my photographs of your choosing from the book. The book plus one of my images - that's got to be a steal :D
