I've recently corresponded with someone that runs a public access darkroom in Cambridge. She sent me the following info:
Cambridge PhotoClub
The club operates by providing access to black and white darkroom facilities. Members just come along with films to process and/or
negatives to print - there is no structure or teaching to the club.
Normally once a year we hold a members exhibition in Cambridge. Members also informally arrange gallery visits and photoshoots - but this is not directly part of the club.
It runs once a month on Tuesday night between 6pm-9pm based at the darkrooms at Long Road Sixth Form College.
We have black and white film processing and printing facilities. Our enlargers will do both 35mm and medium format sizes. In addition we have a black and white print processing machine for those wishing speedy prints!
I could put this in the links section, but there is no direct link.
If people require any more info they should contact anorrington(-at-)yahoo.com
Andrea Norrington is currently a full-time photography teacher for Long Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge and tutor for OCA.
You can read about her admirable efforts to promote darkroom work at the school here: www.longroadphotography.blogspot.com (http://www.longroadphotography.blogspot.com/) (alongside the inevitable digital training).
