Something of interest for the LF & Architectural photographers here (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0892369884/ref=oss_product).

I think that a very cruel post; for I’ve spent this month’s book allowance. :wag:

Barry I wish you hadn't, I've just bought THIS (http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-York-Sleeps-Christopher-Thomas/dp/3791342347/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1269173953&sr=8-1). Evans will have to wait until next month now:(

You can get a copy of the 1973/75 Aperture monograph on Evans by Beaumont Newhall for a very reasonable price on the s/h market. Very nicely printed by Rapoport and has over 60 plates. I paid £6 for mine when it was published back then, which was a lot in 1975!

All the current copies I've found are in the US, but even with shipping the price is considerably less than this new one - which I must admit is very tempting for all Evans' fans!

abebooks.com lists two copies at UK sellers, Roy; but they're priced £22.50 and £40. The US sellers start way below that, even taking postage into account.

Thank you for citing it.

Dave, how do you sneak the allowance past the domestic authorities?

Dave, how do you sneak the allowance past the domestic authorities?

I don’t have to; they're recognised soul food in our house. :)
