Hi everyone!

In the post today, I rec'd a Spring Focus catalogue from Firstcall and it has some really great new offers. I though other members of FADU might be interested so I hope you don't mind me posting this. Not sure if they've updated their website yet but here goes.

Kentmere VC Select buy 2 get 1 free so for equivalent per box now is:

5x7 100 sheets are £8.54
8x10 100 sheets are £18.67
12x16 100 sheets are £24.41

Also new is they now stock Legacy Pro films (re-branded Fuji in 35mm)

ISO 100 (Fuji Acros 36exp) equiv at £1.99
ISO 400 (Fuji Neopan 36exp) equiv at £1.99

Both ISO 100 and ISO 400 Bulk rolls are £24.99 each + if you buy 2 bulk rolls you get a free bulk loader!

Personally I think this is good news as it's promoting analog photography! - it certainly keep me shooting.

Cheers

Larry

Thanks Larry. The Firstcall brochure was always a worthwhile read and these are great offers. The 12x16 paper is particularly attractive for big printers.

Have we at last reached the point where we have turned the corner in terms of seemingly never ending price rises - he asks himself?

Hi Mike and all..

First off just noticed my typo error the 12x16 is boxed in 50's not 100's but nevertheless it's still a good deal.

Please note this offer on the paper closes 30th July 2010. Maybe they've done a deal with Harman?

Personally, I shall be ordering a couple of boxes of 8x10's which is about £10 per box cheaper than most dealers on this promotion.

Now the bulk rolls of legacy pro is cheaper at Firstcall than Digital Truth and Macodirect.

The free bulk loader offer (Page 38) is a lloyds brand and details of it can be found at

http://macodirect.de/legacy-lloyd-35mm-bulk-film-loader-p-1806.html

I've Just checked the firstcall website and they still list their original prices so I would suggest a phone call if you plan to order to ensure you get the deal. I's sure all their existing customers will get the specials booklet.

It makes a real change for prices to go down rather than up.

kind regards
Larry

Larry - My copy arrived today (had to get to Ireland). I notice that, in addition to the items you mention, they are now carrying some Rollei films.

Received my copy today. The Kentmere offer looks good, but I'm unsure as to whether bulk loading is really worth it for the new LegacyPro series unless you have some kind of specialist application. 2 GBP per pre-packaged roll is a very good price.
