Just taken delivery of a DVD on Brett Weston, and I can recommend it to all fans of Brett's photography.

The film, by Art Wright, is 30 minutes long and is wonderfully insightful how Brett worked in the field and darkroom. Filmed in 1972 so its vintage stuff.

The disc also has 892 viewable photographs from Brett's archive and I must say the quality is very good indeed. One can only imagine what the originals look like! Also on the disc are some priceless audio clips;

Don Ross on Brett's lifestyle.
Merle Armitage on Brett's first book.
Nancy Newhall on meeting Brett.
Beaumont Newhall on the small camera (Brett used a Rollei SL66 medium format camera as well as LF cameras).
Don Ross on Brett and his father.
Nancy Newhall on Edward's support.
Merle Armitage explains 'snake time'.
Nancy Newhall on Brett's significance.
Brett on art critics and the zone system.
