Rather reminds me of while I was a T.V. engineer, reading in an electronics magazine an advert for 1 inch 1¼ inch and 20mm blown fuses. It even said you could have them in any current rating!

The most incredulous marketing I have seen is the TV advert for something to put in your dustbin to cut down smells. You buy something to put in the bin.

Now you tell me. I could have made a fortune!

At least they're more useful than the empty milk bottles I saw on sale in a posh department store.

Not sure about that. I keep my parking machine float/mad money in one in the glove compartment. Only time I had the car burgled a pack of sweets was stolen but who wanted a roll of film these days.

I look at this from a slightly different angle

A Friend is into "Caching" - where using a GPS, you have to go to a location and find concealed objects

It gives him an excuse for a walk in the countryside, now he is retired and his wife is still at work

35mm Canisters being small and water tight are ideal for putting things inside and leaving them in obscure outside locations

Over the past couple of years he has almost cleaned me our of Canisters.

I don't shoot 35mm much these days, so my supply is small and the demand great.

So, anyone who has a decent stock of unwanted 35mm Canisters might want to think about bundling then up and selling on E-Bay

You are not going to get rich but it might fund another roll or two of film.
