Balda Matic III

A friend gave me a beautiful Balda Matic III, that comes with very nice Schneider 1.9 50mm. The set is in great condition. It has been stop for a very long time, and when I tested the shutter fired 7 or 8 times and got locked. The film doesn’t advance e the shutter release is locked. Sometimes, when we don’t know the camera, the solutions for these problems are simple. Any ideas?

I have one of these with the f2.8 Color Westanar, which is a decent lens, in a Prontor SVS. One day the shutter/advance just locked. All that was needed was a routine shutter service and all was well.
They are a bit fiddly to use particularly loading. Be sure that the film is securely in the take-up spool. Like the Nikon EM it's a camera that is prone to not winding on if you don't.
