Is the Minolta 7000i camera and lenses one of the most overlooked bargins on Ebay? I have two of these which live in my car. one with the 50mm lens and the other with a medium zoom lens and flash. The whole lot cost me less than £30.00. You can buy a body for less than £15.00. The lenses are sharp and cheap as chips. My cameras have been well used and abused but they just keep on going and if I break them they are so inexpensive to replace.

Although I am totally a Nikon user now I always had a great affinity for Minolta. The 7000i was the 1st AF camera I bought and it was the Dogs B......S! My next one was a 9000 and eventually a Dynax 9 x 2. When Minolta went belly up I changed to Nikon for the benefit of service and availability of spares, but I still hanker after the Dynax 9.

The Minolta F2.8/50mm AF was a lens that was way above all the rest with regards to quality. I have never used one so good since handing over ownership.

When they were made they were groundbreaking cameras, My first AF was the 70001, followed by the 700si and they never let me down, and although these days I do not use cameras younger than 50 yrs old I still sometimes hanker after the Dynax system

My mistake when I said 2.8/50mm I actually meant the 2.8/20mm sorry about that. Fingers working faster than my brain!
