Anyone ever used this stuff? How similar is it to Ilford DD-X ?

I have used it years ago with tri-x 135 film. Grain was non existant up to A4. Never tried DD-X, so I can't compare. TT Ultrafin Plus is an excellent fine grain / speed increasing developer, very similar to AM74 and Rollei High Speed. It smells good too ;-))

OOooo, substance abuse

It looks to be similar to DD-X but curiously, quoted D400 times are very similar to DD-X but D100 times are quite different according to Ilford hence my question.

Yeah, but I'm cured now. As I said "years ago" ;)

Back to topic: dev times don't tell much. Original dev chart that comes with every bottle of TT developer has times for different contrast / types of enlarger and agitation pattern. It looks very confusing at first sight.

Rob, Ilford usually have times for their films in non-Ilford developers, which I believe includes Ultrafin Plus. I would suggest that you start with their times.

Its those Ilford times I'm refering too. They look almost identical for D400 but very different for D100 which is curious.

Getting sick of testing now but needs must. I'm gonna nail the best developer for Delta films soon(ish) if it kills me.
