A nice little posting from Mike Johnston over on The Online Photographer (http://theonlinephotographer.typepad.com/the_online_photographer/2009/03/the-season-of-light.html), about darkrooms, springtime, etc...

he may have a point, but I love my darkroom, and I love winter light, so I spend more time taking in winter, the darkroom reserved for wet/dark days, and I tend to switch on the fan and spend more time in the darkroom in the summer days, snapping in the early morning/late evening Richard

After thinking about your post Richard - I guess I would have to say the same.. EEEK I have just realised - will I ever see a sunrise in Summer!
Looks doubtful...

I have just had four days annual leave to enjoy the 'season of light' and there has hardly been a single ray of sunshine up here on Tyneside. The weekend does not look too good either. :(

In this part of Lancashire I prefer cloudy and dismal days for photography as it seems to suit the subject matter better. "Remains of Elmet" wouldn't have had the same impact if Fay Godwin's photographs were shot in bright sunshine. Would have been too cheery and bright and we can't have that amongst the dark satanic mills.

Lee, I must move to Lancashire - my kind of light:)
Actually I'm back in Lancashire this October. I hope it performs for my camera?;)

Cobbles are as nothing if not rain lashed.
