We are here to enjoy the company of likeminded individuals, to teach and learn. Therefore give freely of your experiences, share your knowledge and understanding of photography, and most important of all be prepared to try different techniques.
This resource is here to provide expert and tyro alike access to a discussion forum and database of information on all matters related to the use of film and the production of traditional prints within a darkroom environment.
We wish to foster and thereby preserve the skill and creativity required to produce top class photographic prints using both traditional methods as well as the very latest techniques.
It is our intention to create a meeting point for the discussion and promotion of workshops, exhibitions, informal gatherings and the like that will encourage the continuation of film based techniques, both ancient and modern.
We aim to collect, husband, and disseminate accumulated knowledge surrounding photographic print making and film use so that it remains accessible to all.
Whilst there will be room for discussing the relative merits of darkroom and camera equipment our emphasis will be firmly on traditional photographic picture making, for that is the ultimate purpose of our journey.
