Shot during the summer on a visit to Harlech Castle. The light patches in the foreground are the result of my poor processing technique with deep tanks. They're caused by the sprocket holes in the film. Too little, or too much agitation?

Too regular agitation maybe?

On my screen it actually looks as if the tide has come in and marooned the lady in the wall opening. If the print is the same way then it is quite effective.

The scan, for a change, is a good representation of the proper print. I was worried that the very light landscape through the 'windows' would be lost - it would have been in a scan from me - I particularly like that aspect of the print. The person in the right one is also for me crucial to the composition. I also like the out of focus foreground.

When you have agitation problems with Diafine suspect too much agitation before too little. It's pretty sensitive to that in bath B, though I've never used it in deep tanks.
