Light and airy looking with a nice perspective, Roger. Amazing that the beach is devoid of people which helps this shot.

If we had weather like this in October in the U.K. it would be standing room only on the beach!

October is very "off season" at US beaches. It was easily warm enough to swim in comfort, though. My fiance's family rents a house there for the entire month most years, and it's fairly affordable for them for just that reason. The house is large and right on the beach. I literally walked out the door of our room and onto this boardwalk. It's a public beach in the sense that the private properties don't go all the way down to the water so you can walk along the beach as far as you want, but all the access for several miles is via private property so it's just the folks renting the houses and the few locals. Most of the houses are owned as second homes, and the owners get some extra income by renting them out when they aren't there.

Alicia and I joined them for several days this past year, and went to sleep with the sliding doors open listening to the surf, with moonlight coming in (it was around full moon too) and just screen doors to keep out mosquitoes. It was awesome! I have some more photos I'll get around to printing.
