what I like most about this image is that it shows the myth that Delta 100 is high contrast. Shot almost into the sun with snow and shadows which are a typically high contrast subject and yet captured with delicate snow detail and not particularly dilute development.

Lovely picture! :-)
The tones are good and the steps seem to have a solarized look on screen which I also really like.

Yes it was the steps that caught my eye. Initially I had thought that it might be that it was printed at a higher contrast grade or the exposure meant that the steps and fence posts were in silhouette but you are right Terry they do have a solarized look. Good effect howsoever produced

I think that they may be a product of my limited scanning ability rather than Andrews original photograph.
