I didn’t want to send a print that either you had seen or are likely to see in the PPC or UPP print folios, so I’ve dug down into the spare print box to find something suitable.
This one dates back to an East Midlands Monochrome Group portrait session that we held about six years ago. I’m not a portrait person so the fact that I got something acceptable is down to having a pretty model and a lot of luck on my part.
I cannot remember the technical details except that I used a Mamiya RB67 fitted with a 180mm lens. The studio lighting consisted of a soft box and a smaller fill-in flash – I think. It’s not something that I would want to make a career out of, even assuming that there was still time.

As always better the real thing which having received it, I know the scan does not do it justice. I am sure it pleased Amy. At one time portraiture was very popular, now we do not seem to see much of it, mores the pity. Is it too hard to do well?

Thanks for this, Dave. It's good to see a portrait, and especially one taken with the RB combination. The beauty of her hair comes across well.

Agree with above comments, the RB has great potential and now are much more reasonably priced. A nice portrait with a 'gentle' feel. The key point I would like to make its (as stated above), the hair is just spectacular in this print.
