Taken while away with the camera club for the weekend. I came across this abandoned house with these stones projecting from the gable end of the house. I liked the shadows that they cast and it reminded me of ancient script.

Before I read your description Vincent I really thought this was an aerial shot of ancient ruins. Great abstract picture and one I'd love to hang on my wall.

Thanks for your comment Martin. As I was looking at the whole of the gable end of the house, your view never occurred to me, but now that I see the detail in isolation I can see where you are coming from.

I agree with Martin, in that it looks like some ancient ruins.

I too like the picture Vincent, although I would prefer it a little darker = but I generally do prefer prints slightly darker than most other people. :-)

As a side note, I've noticed a lot of people saying that they would like a copy of 'X' picture to hang on their wall. Maybe we should start putting a price on our pictures, so people can literally do this?

Thanks for your comments Terry. I resisted printing it any darker in case I lost the detail in the shadows.
I must admit that I would hesitate to put a price on my photographs to fellow fadu members. I feel that it might lead to a point of division among us.
Of course a private note to any member regarding their work would be acceptable.
