A steam loco broke down and was parked up at my local station so I took the opportunity to photograph the details in the cab. This is one of the several shots that I took. I had to check out the name of the part on the internet.

There's some beautiful tones in this picture Vincent.

Even as one who's not interested in this type of machinery as a subject, I still find it a lovely print.

Well done.

Thanks for your comments Terry. I must admit that I was not that interested in photographing machinery myself until I came across photos, both on this site and APUG that really impressed me. I am now on the lookout for machine parts to photograph.

Love it, mechanical things make great subjects.

Thank you Marty & Norm, I'm very happy with the result myself. I'm glad that I've been influenced by the work of others, even after 30 years in the hobby.

Thanks Keith I'm very happy with this print myself. I have since made a larger size print on Ilford ART 300 paper which came out really well.

Having seen this in the flesh, it's a really impressive image.

This just exudes quality. Well spotted Vincent and well done for the quality of your print. Even the scan looks good so the print must be really good.

Thanks Graeme & Bill for your comments. It is one of a series of photos that I took of the loco cab that I'm really pleased with.
