Photographed in Co. Kerry while away for the weekend with the camera club. It is unusual to see timber houses in this country, I guess the weather is too unkind for them.

Thanks very much for your comment Richard. I have since tried toning the print sepia and am very happy with the result.

The actual print has wonderful textures and tones. The result is quite stunning. I took a similar shot a few weeks ago which I haven't printed yet. It won't be as good as this one though. Thanks Vincent for the print.

Thanks Fran & Stef for your comments, I'm glad that you like my print. I really enjoy taking part in the print exchange because I get to see original work in my hand and not projected or on a screen.

Thanks a lot Graeme, it came out well for me. But there are times when I think it would be so much better if I was shooting in medium or large format to do full justice to the picture.

Funnily enough I have been re-reading AA's "The Negative" these last few days and this reminds me of some of AA's examples.

I'd say you have got the exposure spot on here Vincent in what looks to me to be an easy neg to get wrong exposure-wise.

Thanks Mike, I remember exposing for the shadow area but I always carry out normal development for Delta 400. What it does mean for me is that I have to carry out a lot of dodging in the darkroom in order to retain detail in the shadow area.
