I regularly pass by the tree and depending on the weather it takes on many different faces. This is a spring day with strong, hazy light.

it uploaded before finished, so further details : film is PanF developed in Prescysol ef (probably an inappropriate choice since I was looking for something rather contrasty and that is not Prescysol).

Hello Peter,
I could imagine this photograph with higher contrast with a dramatic, punchy sky but I fear you may have lost the sky tone all together if you'd turned up the contrast too much on this particular scene.
So I find this interpretation and treatment appropriate given the subject matter and conditions.

Having said that, I would still love to this very same scene with a dramatic, moody sky experimenting with a couple of filters.

I like this very much. Minimalist in terms of picture elements, but rich in tone and detail- the tiny crow's nest is great.
A harder print might have been too stark, with the sky washed out.
Lovely.
