A very pleasing scene you've provided us with Bill.
Very much an image, ones eye can wander around quite happily.
For those of us not so knowledgeable, where is the 'similar place to the Denis Thorpe image'?

I know it well Bill. I have a similar shot taken in snow. Jules pottery shop has a copy on the wall & I sold some, one to USA from it. The Dennis Thorpe one was part of his FRPS panel I think, it takes in a little more of the background & when compared there is a heck of a difference with much growth on the trees & new housing. Dennis was a speaker at YMG, a lovely chap, lots of info & wonderful prints . Taken from 1/2 way up the hill to Heptonstall, known locally as "Fairyland". A lovely shot that brings back memories. Thank you for showing.

Like the Thorpe picture it could almost be a "model village" His is a stranger-looking scene but only because his was a "snowy scene" with fewer mid tones and almost "Lowryesque" in appearance
Great detail and amazing that an individual can be picked out in the middle but that is what Pan F can give at EI 16, I suppose.

Nice one, Bill. A good tribute to Thorpe (one of my favourite photographers) IIRC he used FP4.
