Was seeking to have a harsh silhouetted photograph in the lobby of the National Glass Centre, awaited the waitress to provide interest/scale.

Excellent shot Graeme. I like the silhouette approach - makes me wonder what the girl is looking at. I assume this is an airport and perhaps she is waiting for someone? Black frame really holds the picture in.

I like this shot a lot too = a bit different from the norm and I love the tone of the print. I presume that it has been toned???

Hi Chaps, thanks for feedback. It's taken in the foyer of the National Glass Centre in Sunderland.

Not toned Terry, I think my scanner produces warm tones when viewed on some monitors, though not mine. Wish I could see the warm tones!

The neg has enough detail to print the face of the woman, but I preferred to silhouette to match the frames of the building.

Shame it's your scanner doing the toning bit Graeme, as I was going to ask you how you did it as it comes up on my calibrated screen as VERY warm... Sad

Haha - I know Terry, not the first time someone has mentioned this - wish I could see it. Maybe I should pretend I'm a Tim Rudman protégé and have evolved a genius warmtone effect?? If only.

Very nice - I'm a sucker for this type of shot though. Lovely work
