A simple composition that I like. Smile

I initially thought that just the flower was sprayed on until I had a closer look...

Also thought it would be better cropped more but upon doing quickly, I found that I was wrong and the crop suits the picture.

So, other than liking it a little darker than on my screen, I like it very much. Like some of my pics when uploaded, I can't get a larger version of it to appear, which is a shame.

Thanks, Terry. I had three attempts at a size that could be uploaded. The process of re-sizing seems to be a bit hit and miss. The negative has a surprising range of tone available, given that the picture was made in very strong sunlight in July. It can be printed darker. but the paintwork on the wood starts to look grey. I can't actually recall if it was coloured, or not, but I wanted it to look white in the print. I was using the little Nikon F75 (ebay 25) which has a very capable metering system. It's also very small and light for travel. Alex

This one still puzzles me. I have looked more closely and the flower still looks sprayed on. Where is the actual flower?

I now hesitate to say anything about the cat as I might be completely wrong.

That is not to say that both the cat and flower aren't effective. They are and it is an intriguing picture

Well done

Mike

Thanks, Mike. Both the cat and the flower are sprayed on. It looks like stencils were used for the cat and flower pot, but not the flower, which is quite simplistic in comparison. I saw other examples on derelict buildings nearby. It makes a difference from the usual gang slogans, etc you see in graffiti elsewhere. Alex.

I like this a lot, Alex, it works well, found still life shots like this one are often all around us but we so often miss them,
Richard
