Pictures like this always amaze what nature is capable of.
Could you provide some paper etc details please, as I love the tone of the picture.
Many thanks,
Terry S

Excellent shot Fran with a strong central composition. The toning is a nice finishing touch. As Terry says some more details would be helpful, you must have been in a rush to get your shot posted.

Apologies, I'm only getting around to adding the details now.
So technical first - this is on ilford MGIV FB and was sepia toned with the Moersch MT3 kit and also given a dip in fotospeed Se toner. The negative was FP4 developed in rodinal 1:50 15min using the slosher tray method (which I get great results with). The image was taken with a chamonix 045n-2 camera using a 90mm schneider lens. I love this camera - its just the DBs!
I took the image in the Burren i Co. Clare, Ireland, pretty much my favourite place to take photos. Its a little more than 2 hours away from my home, so I don't get there too often, and especially now in winter when the days are shorter. Anyway, its a unique and rugged place with amazing landscape, flora and fauna. If any of you are thinking of a landscape weekend away, I can heartily recommend it!!
The place where that photo is taken is right on the sea and with a lot of rock pavement/narrow grikes across it. There are also striking standing stones scattered here and there. Small weather beaten plants hunker down in the grikes and barely pop their heads above the rock - giving a fairly unique look to them. This was taken in just such a place.
Even though there's always people about, there's enough space to give calmness and let the mind think a bit. We all need a bit of shelter and calmness now and again.

Very pleasing image, and as an aside... your description reveals a talent for the written word as well. Nice work.
