Strong composition Graeme and I like the position of the can with its own hi light and shadow. It somehow seems to complete the photo like a full stop. However I do wonder should you have included the edge of the main curve instead of letting it run out of the picture?

I am the lucky one, who got the print, and it's really an explosion of form and structure (as paradox as it sounds) and it has exactly the right elements to balance the abstraction - the can foremostly, but also the dog-ends, chewing-gum and all that.
Balance would also be my answer to vincents question (sorry for sticking my nose into it...): For me it simply would be too much and maybe would through the can out of 'view'.
As said in the relevant topic: I like it a lot, thank you Graeme!

Thanks for the feedback gents, much appreciated. Interesting point Vincent, I'm not sure I have the edge of the curve on the neg (I made 2 exposures), and I like the composition as it is. If I did find the edge in the neg, I'll make a print, but I expect, as Martin says, it might unbalance other elements of the composition.

As the others have said really.

I really like the graphic elements of the picture and I'm sure on the print it is easier to pick out all of the detritus, that although despite being small, add to the overall picture.

I've just seen this, and I really like it. It's the type of strong image that works well in monochrome.
Alex.
