This picture is one of my first efforts that I've been happy with since I've started experimenting with the Lith process, having liked so many prints of this process in books.
After much reading and experimenting, I first tried the process with a commercial lith kit from Fotospeed = chemicals and paper. With the cost for both being much higher than ordinary darkroom chemicals and paper, I have been experimenting with making up my own lith developer, which costs just a fraction of commercial ones, bringing the overall cost of the process right down. The developer that I did this print in was actually given to me on the forum by a fellow member, to whom I thank, for I had not been having much success trying out, unsuccessfully, a few others that I previously found. The subject was taken by natural light whilst laying on a a single patterned floor tile that I picked up from B&Q for pennies. |
