This is a good one from the terrace Richard and I do like the sweep of the railings that works well with the curve of the houses. You have also managed to lose most of the cars and people - which is hard to do at this location. Good printing and quality from the35mm, HP5+ / Rod combo.

Richard, a great sweep of the crescent and sky to match. I've been to Bath twice but never managed to get to the Royal Crescent. Must make sure I do next time.
As a matter of interest what angle lens on a 35mm camera would you need from this spot to get the whole crescent in the shot?
Thanks
Mike

You'd probably need a fisheye Mike - it's from almost one end of the crescent. Check it out on google maps (just enter "Royal Crescent Bath", the URL is too big to paste here). Zoom right in; the pic was taken from very close to the white car on the bend at the east end of the crescent.

Thanks Richard That rules out my puny 28mm. I'll have to settle for part of the crescent but on the basis of your shot that will do me. Well with 28mm I'll come close to your vista. If I had my time over again, I'd get a 24mm as a better allrounder.

Since there's plenty of open space in front of the crescent you'd probably be able to capture all of it with a 28mm. I haven't used my 28mm for years ...
