The photograph was taken from a moorland road above Middleton in Teesdale. It was taken prior to a rainstorm, which is fast approaching in the distance. Visibility was reduced very quickly! The rail wagon is a shelter for sheep and must have been quite a job getting it up there. Considering the amount of rain that fell soon after I can understand why they need it!

Excellent shot Derek - there's definitely something about these kind of buildings that attracts us photographers.

I like your sky, Derek. I see clouds like that with strong sun from time to time, but am rarely In a position to capture it. It gives your image great weight and depth. I saw one of these old railway wagons once that had been grafted on to a cottage. It was very strange!

Nice 'quiet' image, great detail and good sky.

Everything looks right here and I too have often wondered how they transported such wagons miles from the railway. For some reason "out of place" railway wagons have always fascinated me in a way that other equally strange "vehicles" do not

Thats the one! I'm glad to see it in the gallery, but happier to have it in my hands (well in my exchange album!)

Lovely old building shot Derek, these old buildings do seem to attract us photographers,
