I had heard of Bromophen producing a print the warm-side of neutral and I think I see it here in the water and the middle building. On the other hand I may be seeing what I had expected to see, having read that it was Bromophen but it certainly isn't the cold side of neutral. I'll have to give Bromophen a try.

Any filter used?

Thanks

Mike

I like this print. It gives a different perspective on a well known area. Having said that, I only know it from photos, and having seen this image, I'm keen to visit the city.
Alex.

Hi Mike the print is warmer than the scan and the Bromophion does give a warmer result and I like that. There was no filter used to take the photo as the camera was an XA pocket camera, got lucky with the sky on this day.
Alex you would certainly enjoy Liverpool its a very photogenic city.

Thanks for the reply and good news that the print is even warmer than the scan. It may be that Rollei 400S is less sensitive to blue which can be useful for skies as without a filter a lot of films might have given a bland white sky.

Amazing what you can get with the Olympus XA Richard. As you say really lucky with the sky. I have an XA4 (the wide angle one) an you can get really close for street photography and the shutter is so quiet. A really nice shot.

A very nice image with good sky details. I must go back up to Liverpool as haven't been for over 20 years.
