I'm a bit in uploading this for last month's round but this was taken in Killowen Graveyard, Coleraine, Northern Ireland (very near to where I live). My great-grandfather lies here, although this isn't his gravestone. The aging of the stonework on the side and the contrast with the part where the names are written appealed to me.

This composition works very well. I enjoy making photos in old graveyards, but I generally try to include too much. I must try closing in on details. Was the print toned? It has a nice warmth that suits your subject.

Thanks Alex and yes, Sepia toned. The untoned print worked well too and I sat with both on my desk for a few days before deciding the Sepia had it by a whisker.

Very nice image, I think the sepia toning gives it that bit extra finesse.
