I really like the 'sparkle' you have achieved with the highlights on the water. They lift the overall feel of the print which contains mainly darker tones. The position of the nearest Kayak is perfect, combined with the distant figure who has successfully navigated through the arch. It looks like it was a great adventure!

I about to say how brave you were taking a camera out on the water, then read it was a Nikonos! But even so, I'd imagine a fair bit of juggling, what with paddle and camera out on the open sea, so I'm still impressed. Plus, great composition and range of tones.

A very good scan of the print that you sent to me Mike. In this smaller size the very little bit of softness in the print is barely noticeable.


As said, taking the conditions at the point of taking the print into consideration, you've done very well to produce what you have done.
