It’s surprisingly easy to find quiet corners in Venice, despite the masses of tourists. I found a peaceful, shady spot to change a film beside this old well head when I noticed the juxtaposition of the woman, children, pigeons and graffiti. It was bright enough to get a small aperture if I handheld at 1/30th. Happily, it worked (for me anyway)! I wasn’t enamoured with a straight print and thought lith suited the subject. The print wasn't toned as I didn't have time but I would probably have used selenium.

Hi Rob, the lith suits this. Not too overt, but adds a lovely colour.
Still got some kentona stashed? What a nice paper that was. Do you have it cold stored, as it must be getting old now?

Love the colour from the lith here Rob. As you say you can still find quiet corners in Venice.

Well seen and done. A quiet street photography and the lith suits this very well.

I like the subject, and your careful composition. I’ve seen very few images of Venice that don’t include waterways. This is a refreshing change.
Alex.
