I have a lot of respect for the masters of street photography. When you try it yourself, you recognize how much patience and experience it takes. Plus a lot of luck! This was made on a very sunny summer day next to the cathedral of Trier.

Excellent shot, Frank! It looks like a scene from a movie.

Agreed Alex. I'm thinking something Italian; maybe by Fellini or possibly Antonio. The couple on the right could be straight from the 60's.
Nice work Frank- the figures are back-lit but haven't dropped into shadow, and you kept tone in the bright wall. Bang on exposure and printing.

Thanks, Alex & Colin. When you know the place, you could expect someone coming from there and moving well in this diagonal. But of course firstly one has to come along and with some you cannot watch out for all of them at the same time. Just frame that they are on the photo in an interesting way. Got lucky that the steps by them seems just right to bring an element of dynamic.

Thank you, Richard. Trier has so much Roman heritage that you could easily think it's a bit Italian.
