Hi Alex, like this a lot. Not sure I would have spotted this opportunity, you've got a good eye.
The comparison of the large sky, and the small birds in silhouette quite striking.

I also like this one. Very simple and minimalist and I like the big sky. I would have been tempted to burn in the top of the sky to its detriment as it works much better not and accentuates its size.

The horizontal line so low is an excellent and inspiring idea. The faint landscape in the background is a strong voice in telling the story of the image.

Thank you Ian, Richard, Mike and Frank. I had forced myself to use a longer lens (135mm) to see how things looked. I was quite pleased with the results, so will use it again when out and about. I had always been wary of camera shake, but this was actually a very bright day, so faster shutter speeds were easily achieved.
