The photograph shows the south side of the local church, which stands on a hill. From this point you have a spectacular 270° panoramic from the Black Forrest 30km in the east, over the Rhine valley down south to the French Vosges 30km in the west.

The moment I saw this photo, I thought to myself, "That must be a PanFrank photo. Nobody else could have taken that picture!"

Nicely observed, Frank.

Are the trees are having the conversation? That was my first reaction but then saw the two people and maybe the double meaning was the point but I am a bit slow on the uptake. If so, doubly well seen.

Very nice Frank, the shadows make you wonder about the trees,
Richard

Thank you very much for your comments, much appreciated. Yes, Mike, first take on the title was the plural "conversations", including the shadows with the wall and and the two trees in the background as well. Firstly I saw and liked the shadows of the branches, but then saw the couple on the bank and composed it anew.

This is great, Frank. Again, I find your viewpoint very cinematic, like a scene from a great drama.
Alex.
