these are my first four 8x10 photographs -- any thoughts, comments, suggestions, etc. would be welcome before making more pictures with the camera. thanks! (these are negative scans as the contacts were on high gloss RC paper and did not scan well at all.)

Water, boats, a bridge and large expanse of sky with clouds. A suggestion, let me think? Ah yes, I've got one. A few more images with a similar combination of objects would be welcome to me.

Mark your bridge looks fantastic but you are just too far away from it for it to lend any impact. I like the near boat as it moves into the picture. I would be inclined to crop off a little of the bottom of the photo to bring the boat closer and while I was at it I would print the sky a little darker in order to add drama. This should be easy to do on an 8x10 print.
Of course this is just one person's opinion.
