A 'Still Life under Lockdown' print. I never really got into Still Life but lockdown seemed to be the perfect opportunity to do so. I have a ton of 'artefacts' dating back to the 1960s that my mother squirreled away and I enjoyed putting together this scene. Everything bar the cigarette box (and butts!) is a period piece (the cigarette box is a new reproduction I purchased online; the butts I retrieved from my brother-in-law). Taken on a Hasselblad 501cm.

Well done on this. Everything in the picture feels to be in exactly the right place that it should be.

The use of the paper definitely adds to the whole overall feel of the picture.

Well done! Smile

P.S. I too have some paper like this tucked away. I think I've only used about one sheet out of the 25. I've been waiting for just the right negative to come along, for me to print on it. One day it will arrive.

Thank you everyone for the very kind comments. I really enjoyed setting this scene up and I think it was perfect for the Foma 133 paper.

Well, I live 100 meters from the French border and you got everything right. :-) Cliché is always half true, especially on a cliché (French word for "negative"). Fabulous composition and print.

You have certainly put together an appealing and appropiate set of objects. The arrangement works fine and the tone enhances the effect.

Great picture, Michael. It’s very atmospheric, suggesting a spy story.
