Nicely framed and printed and the light has lifted the contrast and depth of the scene, it all works fine. It is a busy scene but you have made the roundabout stand out from the background. Not certain that I would survive a ride on it, the last time I rode on one of these many many years ago I staggered off to darkened room for the rest of the day.

Thank for the kind comments. It was made some years ago in Trier on the old market, which is a very busy place. Still wonder that I was allowed for that second without a tourist going by. The reference to Doisneau in teh details is another lonely roundabout: https://www.moma.org/collection/works/52532.

Frank: I tried your link and it went no where, for me only to realise that you had put a full stop at the end of the link.
So the link to the great picture, should read:

A nice shot Frank, but a little sad, suits the year we have had, sad to see the whole place deserted

The stationary, silent, colourless and empty carousel. It goes againt everything to do with merry-go-rounds.

I really like the lighting. It makes the carousel stand out in a 3-dimensional way. The fact that there are no people creates a very strange atmosphere. It could be a film set, or perhaps something untoward has happened?

The merry-go-round of life, no longer going round. How true.
