I was attracted by the various tonal planes of the slate blocks. These ruined barracks are about 2 miles away from my house. The photograph was taken on film with an expiry date of 1999.

This is very nice Mike, lovely dark tones with just the small highlight from the sky outside, I like this a lot, and it is very well printed

You've managed the tonal separation between the planes very well. And the overall sombre mood seems quite fitting for the subject.

... and the view is well guided through the labyrinth of bricks.

I like this a lot, the eye is just drawn from foreground to background.
The contrast of the rounded shapes of the plant against the squareness of the blocks is a nice contrast.

Nicely printed in the lowlight and the light in the doorway takes you right through the scene.

I like the way that this is almost abstract. The lighting reall helps bring out the various planes and angles.
