Dwarfed by her surroundings, her expression, hands and posture say it all.

Good to see your print here Vincent. It is a rather poignant scene which as you say is cold comfort to the little girl. Well spotted and nicely framed and printed. The world has a long long way to go before we reslove all the human problems we create.

I've come back to view this a few times now.
Vincent, this may be the best work anyone has posted here in some time. The girl looks tiny and lost against the expanse of unfeeling stone which surrounds her. As a metaphor for human frailty it's superb. Squeezing her tight to the corner of the image just emphasises how small she is.
So well composed, and the sombre tones of the print set the mood perfectly. A really fine photograph.

Thanks skellum for your comments. I'm happy that you got exactly what I was trying to achieve with my composition. I only hope that I gave the child some money.

Very thought provoking Vincent, a fine shot and a lovely print, I like prints that make you wonder, and the child looks so tiny in the corner of the shot

Thank you Stephen, I must have a go at printing it again. That print must be 30 years old at this stage and I feel that I have improved in the meantime.
