I took this a few weeks ago early one morning after a bit of frost - lit by a lovely bit of winter sun. The bench sits in our garden (although I had to move it to catch the light). Print was lightly toned in home-brewed thiourea toner, using one the recipes in Tim Rudman's Toning book.

This is very nice, makes me think of these crisp sunny winter mornings, and taking it from the side makes it more interesting, and suits the square format well

I love the use of Delta 3200 and the small depth of focus.

The toning also really suits the print well, as does the square format.

Great print! Smile

Great composition, simple and effective. Beautiful light and looks to be a well crafted print.

Great stuff, Michael! The curvy metalwork makes a very attractive subject. Well spotted, and executed.

Out of interest, I've just taken the picture into P/S Lite and took the toning out, leaving behind a straight b/w print. What a difference the toning has made, suiting the subject well.

Hi Marty,
I am the happy one, who received the print and it is an excellent print, indeed, which I very much cherish.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments, much appreciated.

Terry I made two prints and toned one - the difference was, as you said, quite striking. Frank got the toned one!

I really like the simplicity of this. The shallow depth of field and toning really suit it.
