I was printing some square images for a frame in my living room earlier this month and made a copy for FADU Exchange.

The five-foot-ways are covered footpaths outside Chinese houses/shops, they are a feature of this area which is a World Heritage Site. Many feature relief sculptures in iron with historical information.

No vandalism, no graffiti there!

I thnk this is a great photograph. The statue, shadows and broken window shutter make for an interesting composition.

Nice lines and shadows - lots to look at here. A good 'spot', it would be easy to walk on by.

A nicely balanced composition.

That is not only an excellently composed picture, but also much fun. At least when I saw the broken shutter.

I like the blocks of light and shade, and the interest created by the picture and writing on the wall.

It was only when I opened the larger version of the image when I saw that the graffiti was actually not graffiti, as Uwe already stated.
Nice detail in the shadows, composition is great too!

I was the lucky recipient of this print, it looks even better "in the flesh".

Thanks Graeme, another great addition to my exchange folder.
