This Co. Antrim church is the main one in Glenavy catholic parish. "Ballymacricket" simply means "Townland of the Mac Rickard family" - which I hope is no disappointment. As we live only about 4 miles from it, I enjoy getting there fairly regularly (to light candles as well as to take photographs).

That February afternoon was fairly early on in my getting used to a Leica IIIf; and the light was just lovely if a little contrasty for some tastes. Print exposed 12" at f8.

Brilliant light on this great building. Taking time to view all the details in highlights and shadows resembles a masterclass in printing.

The framing is spot-on imo, beautiful side-light!
You've managed to print the dynamic range in the scene very nicely.

Everything just works so well.
