All the churches from Jersey look so bleak. You know, such simple square church buildings with graveyards next to them always seem creepier to me than Catholic church buildings in the Gothic style. Though I know as well as anyone that the simple square walls of ordinary churches were for people of righteousness and faith in salvation. This picture of a church suggests that people 1k years ago also held worship as we do in our modern buildings. And it connects us to people of past generations. I discussed this idea with the pastor of our church . I like to discuss it with him after a Bible study.
