This months print was taken at at the local Sealife Adventure and Aquarium complex in Southend, where I managed to catch a meerkat looking up at a plane going overhead. It was taken on a roll of HP5+, in my compact(?) camera, an Olympus AZ210 Superzoom, which I haven't used for a while. It's a great camera, but lacking on the zoom front, so a slight crop had to be made when printing.
The rest of the film was taken on various days out and weekends away from the last new year onwards and the contact sheet shows a good number of possible prints to be made. The paper used was an old box of Jessops paper, bought as some batches were said to lith, of which I'm still to find out. The aging has given the paper a VERY warm tone, which I quite like. The film was developed in the last of a home mixed batch of D72 / ID11, which produced some quite over developed negatives for some reason, as mentioned in a thread on FADU. In the darkroom my RH Designs Analyser recommended a filter one grade below grade 0 (!), so grade 0 had to suffice. |
