Taken on a recent trip to Malaga, Spain, using a new Holga 'style' camera, which has only one shutter speed and one aperture setting.

Although taken in late September, the sun was still very strong and hot, but the light helped achieve some very good negatives to print, from a roll of HP5+.

Developed in home mixed eco E72, for the first time, and stand developed at 1:5 for 30 minutes, using The Digital Truth website recommendation.

Printed full frame, to approximately judge how accurate the viewfinder is, which it turns out to be rather accurate.

I really like this one Terry!
Dark and moody, the shadows of the trees make the image for me.
Well done!

Thanks Buzz. I was very surprised how well the prints have come out so far. And yes, the shadows and almost silhouettes really make it for me, which was helped along by the almost shooting into the bright direct sunlight and with the sun being lower in the sky, even in early afternoon.

And out of curiosity, I've just cropped the picture and given it a white border in my PS LE and I think one would be hard pushed to tell that the picture came out of a VERY basic plastic camera. Smile

All right, I will praise this by putting Rory Gallagher's "Shadow Play" on the turntable.

Very Copacabana, Terry! Smile

Works well with the film rebate printed.

The contrast and composition work very well together in this image.

Thanks for all the comments guys - always appreciated. Smile

PanFrank - I had to look up your reference, as I had not heard of this musician before. Well I have now. Smile

MartyNL - yes I like to add a film rebate occasionally, and I too think it worked well with this one. I mostly did it though to see how accurate the eye viewer(?) was, and from memory, it's quite accurate. Smile

PS Just typing up details for the November PE, I noticed the details I left for this round is incorrect.

Previously for this round I wrote film developer as:

Film developer & temp:

Home mixed E72

It should have been:

Home mixed E76 (as E72 is a paper developer).
