It's intereting, but I'm not sure why he's serenading the lamp-post. It may be the fault of your scan, but the flute seems to be lost.

Me neither:-)
The photo was taken 10 years ago and I have no clue why I've chosen this particular angle.

Indeed, the flute is missing. The park with this statue attracts all sorts of crowd during the night, including bankrupt musicians...
