5x4 neg, MACO Genius Ortho, enlarged to 7x5 on to ADOX Filmpaper, then new neg created by contact.
Contacted in a paterson contact frame on to a piece of writing paper sensitised with salt and silver nitrate; paper had to be stretched with tape like watercolour paper. Masked with ruby lith to get clean edges. Tried to get the Fox Talbot look with the salt print and writing paper:-)

My goodness what a lot of work! Certainly worth it though, Mick.

Thanks John, it is a lot of work; however, the important thing is it is fun, a nice bit of fooling around is always worth it even if the end result isn't perfect, what is:-) I prefer to make paper negs from scanned 5x4 negs on the computer, they are much better but they don't allow that on here, they took a couple of my pics down cos I went traditional, computer, traditional, ah well:-)
best

Talbot would have had trouble getting the beautiful contrast you've achieved. I really like this, Mick.

Nice work! Just what I need to prod me along to try some of the alternative printing methods.

Well worth the (considerable) effort. I particularly like the position of the two trees.

I agree with Rob. Good to see different work like this here.
