A cold day for 5x4 work, that shows dedication.
I like the way the stream seems to have been torn apart.

Very cold day indeed! And also very flat light, I roughly remember there must have been no more than 4 f-stops difference between the snow and trees.
The photograph was taken near my home town last December just days before Christmas when I there to spend some time with my parents.
I made the final print just last week, Ilford MG FB Warmtone paper proved to suit this subject best. My aim was to get slight brown-ish blacks from the print, but not that sort of brown tone you'll sometimes get with a selenium toner.
Speeding up the drying on a fibre print dryer did the job to get very decent brown-ish tones!
